i just wanted to give this example because it shows so clearly how these top down interventions don't work, and how they can have unintended consequences on people and ego systems. So the plan within the, within the pired programm was to support communities to plant trees in the savannah areas. And after two years of not receiving the promised payments, they burned all the trees and the savannas that they were protecting in protest against the project. i just think it's a great example how you see that when the landis plan is decided by somebody outside of the community and imposed on them, it doesn't fully reflect local needs.
