How Do You Deal With Ruminating?
When we're dealing with rumination, we can address it on three levels. There's the technical level: Does a person know how to stop ruminating? Do they really know how? What's their understanding of what that means? How are they trying to do it? For example, if you if somebody trying to actively distract themselves, that's not going to work. And then we can also address things on an emotional level. In other words, what's really driving this? I think this is on a technical level. This is like, either you eat it or you don't, right? You can have mixed feelings about eating the cookie, but at the end of the day,
