What Has Government Done to Our Money?

In economics, we've spent the last hundred years trying to gin up demand for stuff. That has become essentially a monomaniacal focus of so-called monetary policy. The left politicians love this because they love the idea that deficits don't really matter. But as we saw in spades during COVID, demand without supply doesn't work. And what we desperately need is deflation.
