The Importance of Pardons in Trump's Campaign
Biden would be taking away Trump's most significant campaign opportunity, his trial. In this sense, offering a pardon is a no risk proposition for Biden. Innocent men do not need pardons. The progressive wing of the Democratic Party has spent years trying to destroy Trump and have been beaten against each time. If Trump escapes clutches because he was pardoned, but these polling with swing voters are also deeply underwater.
