It's His Right to Die, He's Defending Them
A man who has truly spent his life in philosophy feels confident when about to die, and is hopeful that when he has died, he will win very great benefits. Jgis feel like he was wavering in his absolute devotion to truth and virtue by emphasizing how great things are probly going to be for him. But at other times he's saying that it seems just the spirit of platonic inquiry, socratic inquiry, is it's toward truth. It's virtue for its own sake. So that it was a strange conflict for me. I don't know.
