The Passions of Christ and the Experience of the Passions

The perfection of the human being then is not to be found in an escape from the passions or just conceding everything to them either, but to enjoy them. So as we think about what Christ reveals to us in terms of what it means to be human, could we say that the passions of Christ and his own expression and experience of the passions show us what the standard should be?
