The Price of Civilization

Modern civilization divides our consciousness from deeper, instinctive strata and impoverishes our ability to be introspective. The froudin focus on personal repression is a symptom of, not a solution to this decline. Personal repression is actually only a symptom of a greater loss, that of a primitive psyche. Healing this loss requires treating dream images as numinous messages from an unconscious underworld.
