Do You Like to Taper for a Race?

There's a lot of different opinions when it comes to how to tape offor someone when they're preparing for a race. Some runners get the taper crazies, and think that as soon as they start cutting ther mileage back a little bit, they've lost fitness. So i'll typically use a two week taper for most of my runners. If they're training for a much longer event, itt might be a slightly longer taper. And would age or experience have a factor? I don't think age would really have a factor. The more experienced you are, the less likely you may need to taper,. Or you might just need er taper.
