Strodes is a term from strong towns that was invented bya their founder, chuck moron. He started to realize that there was a fundamental problem with the way that we design roads in north america and canada. A strode doesn't work well as a road, because with all these side streets, driveways, cars going in and out, slowing down to turn and everything else, you're not efficiently moving traffic. People buy things, not cars. That's part of the reason why in these cities that are full of strodes, you don't see an off al number of small businesses. You tend to see the big chain stores, right?
