The Hard Determinist Picture

i'm not a fan of approaches to the free will problem which start from forms of personaliction. It feels like i have done what i would do otherwise, that's not what i want I'm not trying to rely on something much bigger than my mind. But our whole conceptual and social framework is premised on the premised thought 'all you out there are an agent' Not just me, but all of you as well - it could be your mother or someone else who has made up their mind about how we should behave in this world. We're going to get into some tough questions here so let's see if anyone can answer them for us.
