Decentralized Block Chains Are Not Scalable
Most new block chains use a proof of stake consensus mechanism. Each validators votes are weighted by the number of tokens they stake ore essentially put up as collateral to insure that they are not acting dishonestly. Salana takes a differet approach, one which allows it to keep all activity on a single shard. On salana, all the blocks act like radio towers, verifiable wit the clock,. utilizing proof of story creates a historical record that proves that an event has occurred at a specific moment in time.
