The End of the Trojan War

In theory, the saga continues to the Odyssey and how Odysseus made his way home after the Trojan War. Homer might be putting the origin of the great Greek epics in the mourning voices of the women who are left behind when all the heroes are slain. And I often played with the idea that the poem is coming to an end as these women sing or tell to us how much it costs to be a soldier.
