Star Trek - Is a Hierarchy Necessary?
Star Trek is an embodiment of what a future left-wing communal society could look like. It explicitly disavows wealth and it's an egalitarian society. But the one thing that sticks stuck out to me about that show is there's still a very strict hierarchy when it comes to the ship. So I think it's an interesting question, why do they cling to that hierarchy?
