The Monger's Twice as Long

Akira is one of those movies where i'm like don't be fooled by the fact that it's 30 years old. I still think i can easily recommend it to new watches yeah you can definitely still watch it today and not feel like it's dated. It almost defies anime in a sense which is really weird because when you ask people who are clearly not an anime fan about their favorite anime 99% will say they've watched Akira. There's something about Akira the experience of watching Akira that you don't necessarily even have to really like anime, he says. He thinks cyberpunk has just kind of died recently but doesn't know why.
