The Isle of Man was part of that belonged to the Stanley family from tough time immemorials of feudal bit of their domain and they have retreated there but when England had been lost to the Royalists. When Charles II invaded in Virto Kommes we landed in Scotland to try and retake the kingdom which culminated in this battle at Worcester after which he famously went on the run and hid up the oak tree. His wife is left holding the Isle of Man and she didn't know what had happened she was waiting and waiting for news.
