The Importance of Reporting to the CEO or COO
I worry less about who I report to. The sponsorship, the advocacy and the organization's overall perspective around data are the most important. What's the data culture? Does the executive suite talk about data? Do they care about data? All those things make jobs like mine and others across the industry doable. They make them possible. Where we have support, now it's not never easy, but I do feel like within, at least within the company I'm at, I feel the support. And at the same time, trying to help improve the data culture and data literacy in every interaction we have.
