Agatha: There is no formula to have your fantasy setting be clearly evocative of the place or culture you're using as inspiration and uniquely its own thing. You want to situate your creation and your inspirations for your creation on a specific time period, because you don't want to generalize an entire region of the world with 4000 years of dynastic history. When you bring humanity into your game into your creations, when you humanize the culture you're incorporating, you ultimately create something that is a little bit more authentic, right? Or at least your efforts are a lot more genuine and authentic.
