As some health conditions like dementia are viewed as evidence of or symptoms of disease, what happens to families' beliefs regarding whether they're qualified to care for their elders at home? "I think the danger is that this can become another site of removal and dispossession," she says. She hopes we start disentangling how we think about life through the experiences of older peoples.
