Polish Military Preparation in the 1930s

On the border of Poland and Czechoslovakia was the Teshin region, which had at one point been a duchy. Both sides believed that it should be added to their nation due to its coal industry. The ruling handed down from Paris left most of the area about 400 square miles within the new nation of Czechoslovakia. This would all change in September 1938 when Germany took control of the rest of Czechsoslovakia. It posed a serious problem for Polish military preparations as they desperately tried to build up an army capable of defending against larger neighbors.
