LZ4 does half of what Zlib does, but really fast. And the missing part is Huffman coding. A Huffman code is replacing common strings with a shorter prefix. Yann wants to fulfill this goal that he had when he was a kid working on his calculator game. The sentence "When I grow up, I will be an inventor" became more and more something in my mind.
