Is There a Solution to Mental Health?
There's no easy solutions to any of this. I mean, the issue is massive and ties just right back to both our attitudes about mental health and the systems we have in place. It's just a very hard thing to change because we have no more public mental health care centers. Most of them were converted into prisons. That's why we have this massive de-aspirative homelessness. People who have schizophrenia, it costs a lot of money to treat it without health care. But if you don't have health care, staying in a public hospital costs $2,000 a day. And so it makes mental health care a privilege of the rich and everyone else is just sort of left
