Drones have changed our ability to integrate energy storage, software and censors into flight. We can now use a individual tessla battery, literally just a car battery, to fly people from san francisco to san jose. The softwerd that's come out of the drone industry has solved a lot of problems that we can translate into human flight. There are probably a dozen real contenders, some of them with fortune 500 backing.
