The Importance of Rhythm in Music

I'm content to play a riff for ten minutes and then turn it upside down Then add another note going at a different slant. Every time that happens something happens to the rhythm. I think it's it really goes back to african rhythm, you don't even know your body's moving exactly. It's like ants in the kitchen.
