"We are actively punished, not just not encouraged, but I would say actively discouraged from really playing with ideas," he says. But don't we build education systems from preschool all the way up that engaged people systematically in that kind of intellectual curiosity? It's dangerous if you do it, it's considered insubordinate, right?
