Video Game Industry Trends - Is This Going to Continue?

In january 20 22, micro soft announced its plans to acquire activision blizzard. Previously it had acquired zenmax media, the parent company of ethesa soft works. And there have been a number of voices that say this is going to be a trend that continues in the video game industry. Do i believe as a result of these acquisitions, there will actually be more game development companies? I do.
