An Anathema Is Not a Separation From God

Tereseus was right in saying that an anathema is a separation from God because it separates you from God's church. An anathema excluded you from communion with the church and thus put a kind of barrier between you and God, but it did not cause a saved person to become a damned person. Gavin hasn't shown why these anathemas are problematic or why they should lead someone to being Protestant. In the next section he puts forward an argument for that position.
