Inflation has declined over the past three months due largely to falling fuel prices and prices of goods, such as used cars. There are signs soaring rents at other housing costs are set to cool, notably amid a sharp slowdown in demand. But that isn't expected to show up in official inflation measures until later this year. So I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the current state. Does this tell you that they're as fearful of overtightening? We talk about financials on the podcast often, which are very sensitive to interest rates. It's not long between when they invert and when they stop tightening but that might not be the case this time.
