A 16th century medical text said that it found a clitoris as long as a goose's neck. Le Frank wrote about sexuality and he was the 1200s, so really really old. But in his writing he was also very clear that if it got to a certain size and rigidity it was a penis but should not be cut at all. And shockingly you can fast forward to the injustices on intersex surgeries that have happened. While I was writing this book, the Children's Lawy Hospital in Chicago finally put a moratorium on Intersex surgeries on infants.
