Was This a Sign of the Old Alonso?

Fernando Alonso finished second on the grid for Sunday's German Grand Prix. The Spaniard has not been out of the top five in any session this season. He will be looking to build on his best result since 20 12, when he was third behind Nico Rosberg and Valtteri Bottas. Alonzo Maldonado is expected to finish fourth after a disappointing race last week.
