The East Palestine, Ohio Train Derailment
A train carrying vinyl chloride and other dangerous chemicals derailed in a small town in Ohio. This caused some concern in the local population, obviously, because there were these chemicals leaching out into the ground. First responders ended up blowing some small holes in some of these cars, draining the chemicals into a ditch, and then lighting that on fire in what's called a controlled burn. And that released all of these toxic chemicals, not only into the ground, into the water, but also into the air.
