The Proportional System in the United States

Proportional systems allow parties to get seats in the legislature that are roughly proportional, or sometimes perfectly proportional depending on details of the system with their vote shares. The most prominent example would be New Zealand. Among English-speaking countries, there's actually, there are very few that use any kind of proportional system.
