There's no one best format. Try out different ones. Depending on what situation or what kind of lifestyle you are, you may like a different medium more than another one. If I'm going on a vacation, I don't want to carry a backpack full of books. And then I've got all the reading that I need for the whole vacation. Sometimes I have a bad back. And sometimes my back is acting up. I really need to get horizontal.
