The Queen is going on tour with Prince Charles in a desperate attempt to raise her popularity. If they, if her popularity goes up so much, and if the Tories go up in the polls, they'll be like, right, general election now. So it has to be sometime in the next year and a half, though. But they can choose when they call it. And it's hard to imagine that they could ever be popular after the way they've been over the last 12 years - particularly over the last three or four.
Talking to my parents about events in the UK following the death of The Queen on 9 September, including the media coverage, the proclamation of King Charles III, comments about Charles as King and a discussion of the role of the monarch in the UK’s constitution. Also includes some comments about the new Prime Minister Liz Truss and the future of the UK government over the next 18 months.
