A Functional Language Is a Natural Fit
I've done a lot of event driven work but purely defining, you know, closer to a CQRS with a lot of remodels derived from processing and reducing over a bunch of events. And I do think that a functional language is a really nice fit for it because essentially what you're doing is reducing to a state. But at the point where you want to change the shape beyond filtering and rejecting things, you suddenly have to start realizing the stream of data.
