McCarthy and the Catholic Church

McCarthy is showing a standard of morality and humanity against which glen, the rough glen, and toad vine and bathcat and granny wath. So in this world, the people that are doing acts of mercy and good are always women and people of color. If this book doesn't inspire you to get to church, I don't know. Maybe, you know, I read this and I go, yeah, it makes me want to go rob some banks, Kevin. You're an American bread. It's a free goddamn country that is blood soaked, gnostic, horrifying, but also endlessly entertaining. America is a fucking carnival.
