Matthew Vaughn's Argyle

Chris Kore: I would honestly argue that Layer Cake is aged better than a lot of these Guy Richie movies in some ways. Vaughn and Richie have both taken on this kind of like professional Hollywood craftsman thing in the last 10 years, which has been less appealing for me personally. The one movie though that we may have skipped over, it's really important is Croupe Yay, which does predate the Richie films. Mike Hodges plucks Clive Owen out of obscurity into working-class drama with crime element to it.
