The Myth of the Monks of Medminem
The Monks of Medminem had an irreverent, playful relationship with religion and in particular Catholicism. The monastery was supposed to be an anti-monastery where there were no rules. John Wilkes would become famous as a snubbed member of the Abbey who never made it into the inner circle.
