red menace: Why might we return to marx after having studied leonin stalin, mao and ingles already? We look at the economic and philosophical manuscripts of marx in order to understand how these thinkers are not just dogmatically repeating everything marx said but are critically engaging with his successes and failures. It provides a model for doing our theory going forward by looking back at those theorists and revolutionary leaders who came before us. The views that marx holds here are arguably abandoned in his own later works as we talked about previously. This break demonstrates the self-critical nature of marxism. These breaks represent the ability for marxes to recognize previous theoretical mistakes and correct them
