Natural gas is a better alternative for some sectors that are hard to electrify and hartyto carbonize, but then also as an importanta fuel for power plants. Natural gas emits less than half the carbon that coal emits in power generation. Its green credentials have been called into question recently because of the issue of methane, or natural gas, being released during production and transport.
