The Crucifixion - Is It a Good Idea?
The idea of the crucifixion being and a god who would require demand, sort of the human sacrifice of his own son always seemed to me like a fairy tale. And that, but that the gnostics view, that was spiritual. It wasn't bodily. It was essentially like mary magdalen was having a mediumistic experience. I mean, how it's interpreted over two thousand years is amazing, because people have taken it as template for for the human condition. You don't have to be christian to to respond to it. The image a man suffering unjustly and yet triumphing in the end is a very powerful one....
