You really want what we want in any exercise is the joints to stack well. A dumbbell press and a good machine press would be up there for sure. An inverted row is fine, but I like dips because your entire body is contracting. If you were to say what three chest exercises should I do forever, I would say do a good dumbbell press,. Do a good machine pressing and then I might throw a pushup variation in there.
