The tensions that underlie our greatest changes, and we think of them as paradoxes, are fuelled by change scarcity and plurality. The most effective leaders are able to see these interdependencies in their competing demands and come up with a both, end or more generative solution to them. This one sided, over simplified, over rationalized thinking is really a trap for leaders, because it's undermining the greater complexity they need to be working through.
