The Importance of Categories in the Media
We have a hard time seeing genuine authentic interactions without mapping our predefined categories onto the people that are taking them. It's unsurprising that the discourse in the media often is more about what divides us than unites us. Categories, they make things easier. Easier to filter out, easier to oppose. And for the worst, really easier to restrict ourselves.
