In 1987, R. Kelly forms a crew with three guys and the new quartet branded themselves as R. Kelly and MGM. The group dressed in oversized black suede suits with satin collars and rhinestones. Fashioned by Chicago designer Barbara Bates, worked with Coolmo D, Bobby Brown, Whitney Houston. Choosing some very familiar sounding song titles there. Why You Want to Play Me is about being the average guy lashing out at an imaginary girlfriend. Do I look like a glaze? That is corny as fuck. But for all his talents, he seemingly didn't have in maturity.
