Why No Transparent Metals Exist?

Before this conversation, i was not even aware that transparent metals existed. Same i was aware that there was somebody who treated a tree bark and made a transparent material out of tree bark. And so now imagine, like, if you could take that glass and have it be conducting just in certain parts, like, you can make wild stuff with it.
