CHAPTER

The Anti-Capitalist Occupation of 68

I think 68 was about this incredible solidarity between all these people. It reminds me of when you talk about, you know, the commune as festival. There's definitely an existential dimension of people actually living differently and experimenting with a kind of concrete anti-capitalist offensive. The Black Panther Party did in cities like Oakland and Chicago and Detroit by turning their neighborhoods into working communes. That may actually look like a lot of work rather than a festival, but it's non-alienated labor. And once you have non-alienate labor, you're on the road to a festival. You're in it.
