How to Present a Prophylaxis Plan
In medical school, the attendant always said to stay organized while presenting your plan. You should think about whether your patient is at risk for post operative complications like nausea and vomiting,. Then you need to develop an appropriate plan for prophylaxis. The most reliable independent predictors of p o n v were male, gender, a history of p on v or motion, sickness, non smoking status, younger age, duration of anaesthesia with volatile anaesthetics and post operative opioids.
