How to See What Others Don't
Gary Klein: It's so hard for me to force myself to look at data beyond what I'm aware of. The assumptions that bite us are usually the ones that we make unconsciously. We shouldn't be making these lists of all my assumptions, but we should be sensitive to anything that suggests an inconsistency or a contradiction. And instead of brushing it away, which is our tendency, oh, that's just a transient data point.
