Cats are totally confounding to science, Garry says. They still boggle us because they do things that just don't make a lot of sense. Most cats will only vocalize to humans once they're not kittens any more. But as a veterinarian, garry observed something that forced him to question those assumptions. Sometimes we would hear cats purring if they were in a cage in a hospital for some reason.
