Is There a God?

Di: Could it be true that many people simply fall into theism because they're looking for, ayou know, something to give their lives meaning and purpose, and god actually exists? Di: I think we could give that explanation. A lot of believers have not really thought about this at any rational level,. It's just it of meaning mechanism. And maybe maybe they've gotten into it for not entirely good reasons. i wouldn't doubt there's social science that could be done to support that explanation. But that doesn't mean there is no god, and that isn't independent of people's psychological needs to think that there's a god.
